I am currently still looking for a teaching position. I am going crazy applying and applying and not getting any phone calls. I miss the classroom and kinda get teary eyed when I read that teachers are tired of being in meetings all day...I wanna be in meetings all day. I miss that. I also miss the kids...just the different personalities in one room and how they light up when you give them praise and how you can see them learning something new. It just saddens me to no end! Oh well...for some reason the good Lord has put me hear and I am taking it in strides. I must admit going back to church has started a process in my life that I am grateful for. I continue to pray at night and I continue to look at everything in a positive way. For it is with Him that we will succeed!
*May I also send a "blog-out" to my bestest of good time friends, Clarebear, she is just so amazing and taking test after test! Good luck momma! I wish you nothing but the best! Love you!

Almost Gone...and I just started~~
Okay...so today was the most emotional day of my life. It started off one of those mornings where I wake up on time, but somehow get to school late? I don't know how I do it..but I manage to get to school late. My students then proceed throughout the day to amaze me on how they really are just 6 & 7 years old! Even though there have been many of days where they show me they are "grown-ups" today was just not one of those grown-up days! We are having activities throughout the week for library stuff...i really don't pay attention to what holiday is up...I am concerned with other things...like how my kids are still at a level 7 in reading and I still have 1 child in level 1...needless to say I am a little pre-occupied at the moment...n e ways...today was parent read-a-loud which means a parent comes into the classroom and reads a story to the children. It all goes well...until...the parent and I are discussing his childrens grades...yes I said children in the plural because I have the son AND daughter in my class...WONDERFUL!!!...my children dun lost their minds...kids running everywhere...I did not know what had happened to my class...I was livid!!!!
After the children recieved a very stern talk with Ms. Rendon, they did not proceed to anger me for the remainder of the day.
When all the kids were gone and I was headed to the gym to tell my cheerleader that I was called to yet another meeting and they were to sit on the steps awaiting my arrival from the meeting, the principal called me into her office. Wondiful! She proceeds to tell me that Human Resource called and I am not bilingually certified (which we already knew) and I cannot be teaching the 1st grade. Keep in mind there are no other positions available...so I would be out of a job...at least for a little while...tis the season! I left her office dumbfounded...I did not know what to do or think...other than...WOW...this SUCKS!
I proceeded to go the meeting with Reading 1st people and I got called in to the office again. I was told that I could be put on an emergency cert., but I had to go RIGHT NOW and sign the papers! So I jetted school and signed the papers! But what a day!
I hope tomorrow offers a better one!
